- Espresso is an advanced de-esser app for iPad with an intuitive user interface. The uniqueness of Esspresso is that the detection frequency range isn’t coupled with the suppressors frequency range. That means you can listen to a specific frequency and compress another one, which is often what you’ll want from a professional de-esser.
- De-Esser is compatible with: Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro, Audacity, Adobe Audition, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Apple GarageBand.and many more.
- I'm in search of a free de-esser plugin for my Mac running High Sierra and Cubase AI 9.5. I've tried installing the de-essers I know of (Lisp, Spitfish, MDA De-Esser), but all are 32-bit according to Cubase's VST manager.
- Mar 27, 2012 indeed it does, no one ever said it wasnt. In fact youd have a hard time doing it without it. The point i was making was just because you know how to play a piano, doesnt mean you know how to use garageband. Garageband is useful. Not professional.
Make music with Touch Instruments
Hi team, I'm doing some vocal recording (mono - spoken word) and I'm looking for a de-esser plugin for GarageBand. I've tried ducking the offending frequency in the graphic EQ and achieved some success, but it has a tendency to leave the overall quality of the recording.
Use Touch Instruments to play keyboards, drums, guitars, strings, and more. Record your own vocals or plug in your guitar or bass, and play through a great selection of amps and stompbox effects.
Build your song
Choose from hundreds of Apple Loops to add to your song, add a drummer that plays along to the music you recorded, and mix your song with effect plug-ins.
Create music like a DJ
Use Live Loops to create electronic music by simply tapping cells and columns in the grid to trigger musical loops. You can build your own arrangements, then improvise and record a Live Loops performance.
Download free loops and instruments
Use the Sound Library to download and manage sound packs containing hundreds of loops, sounds, Touch Instruments, drum kits, and more. GarageBand lets you know when new sound packs are available to download.

I've tried ducking the offending frequency in the graphic EQ and achieved some success, but it has a tendency to leave the overall quality of the recording kinda' flat and hollow sounding (burying the 4K frequency).
Read some forums and everyone RAVES about Spitfish, but the developers stopped updating it and my version of GB won't recognize it.
Could anyone more knowledgeable than this ol' dog seeking to learn some new tricks offer any advice?
Many thanks,
MW
